Investment & Strategy Associate

About the role

The Investment & Strategy Associate will support Dedale’s research team by conducting deep fundamental research, strategic due diligence, and financial analysis of software and technology companies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research on software and technology firms.
• Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis for both public and private companies.
• Build quantitative models and gather qualitative insights through expert interviews.
• Collaborate with peers and ex‑Tier 1 consultants to produce high‑quality deliverables.
• Prepare financial research, strategic screening, and communication materials for members.
• Lead English‑language interviews with industry experts and support process improvement.
• Monitor identified companies on a daily basis and communicate findings internally and externally.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Tier 1 engineering or business school with a focus on business, finance, engineering, or strategy.
• 3–4 years of experience in strategy, business, or related finance/tech roles.
• Strong analytical abilities and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal presentation skills and ability to create compelling slide decks.
• Strategic thinking with the capacity to identify key inputs and correlations.
• Fluent English communication; additional languages (French, German, Italian) are a plus.
• Team‑oriented mindset and passion for technology, innovation, and investment.
