About the role

The Centre Hospitalier Coeur de Corrèze is seeking a qualified State‑registered Nurse to join its diabetes unit on a fixed‑term basis. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with diabetes and support their families throughout the care pathway.

Key responsibilities

• Identify patient needs, perform nursing diagnoses, set care objectives and evaluate outcomes.
• Develop and implement nursing protocols and manage the nursing care record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and supervise nursing assistants under your responsibility.
• Deliver care in a 12‑bed diabetes service (8 full‑hospitalization beds, 4 day‑hospitalization beds, with occasional additional capacity).
• Organise and participate in initial training actions for staff.
• Manage medical equipment, ensure proper cleaning, disinfection and storage of pharmacy supplies.
• Maintain traceability of narcotic products used in the unit.
• Contribute to institutional projects such as pain management, malnutrition, pressure‑ulcer prevention, pharmacy and hygiene.
• Continuously update care procedures and promote a culture of quality.

Required profile

• State‑registered Nurse diploma.
• Strong team spirit, relational skills and availability.
• Punctuality, professional appearance, discretion and respect for confidentiality.
• Methodical, rigorous, and able to take initiative within the scope of practice.
• Analytical ability, organizational skills and adaptability to emergencies.
• Capacity to coordinate nursing assistants and ensure quality of performed acts.
• Basic computer knowledge.
