Global Operations and Procurement Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Global Operations and Procurement Legal Counsel to join our fast‑moving team in Paris. The role supports the company’s worldwide growth strategy across the wine & spirits portfolio, working closely with legal, operations, procurement and technology stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on direct and indirect procurement, supply‑chain contracts and logistics for brand units, manufacturing sites and corporate functions.
• Support the R&D and Sustainability & Responsibility (S&R) teams on product development, carbon‑reduction, circular‑economy and packaging compliance matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, including traditional supply‑chain contracts and technology contracts.
• Assist procurement processes by preparing RFx documentation, managing negotiations, evaluating bids and overseeing award procedures while promoting e‑procurement and digital tools such as CLM and e‑signature solutions.
• Monitor global regulatory trends (e.g., CS3D, EUDR, PPWR) and assess their impact on procurement, supply chain, innovation and technology.
• Contribute to special projects, including digital self‑service legal tools, AI‑driven initiatives and process‑harmonisation efforts.
• Advise Legal Directors and business partners on legal risks, deliver training and maintain accurate records and reporting.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience as a qualified lawyer, preferably with exposure to procurement, supply‑chain or commercial contracts.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting the wine & spirits sector and sustainability initiatives.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a multinational environment.

Required skills

• Experience with e‑procurement platforms and digital contract management tools (CLM, e‑signature).
• Familiarity with RFx processes and negotiation techniques.
• Knowledge of AI applications in legal transformation is a plus.
