Global Medical Director, Electrophysiology & LAAC

About the role

Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced cardiac electrophysiologist to join its Cardiology business as a Global Medical Director. In this senior physician‑leadership position you will act as the clinical voice for physicians and patients, guiding electrophysiology and left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) therapies from development through real‑world use.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the medical expert and patient advocate across the product lifecycle for electrophysiology and LAAC therapies.
• Provide medical leadership on benefit‑risk assessment during product development, clinical studies and post‑market activities.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams including Clinical Research, Clinical Evidence, R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial to support innovation and evidence generation.
• Collaborate with a global network of stakeholders to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Board‑certified cardiac electrophysiologist with extensive clinical experience.
• Proven track record in leading medical strategies for cardiovascular devices.
• Ability to translate clinical insights into product development and market strategies.
• Strong communication skills to represent physician and patient perspectives globally.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in cardiac electrophysiology.
• Knowledge of left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) therapies.
• Experience with benefit‑risk assessment and clinical evidence generation.
