Full-time Faculty Position in Geopolitics (Assistant/Associate Professor)

About the role

emlyon business school seeks a full‑time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join its Department of Law, Management and Social Sciences and the OCE Research Centre. The role begins in September 2027 and combines high‑impact research with innovative teaching in geopolitics.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cutting‑edge research in geopolitical risk, digital geopolitics, energy, resources, or environmental geopolitics and publish in top‑tier journals.
• Design and deliver undergraduate (BBA), graduate (Programme Grande École), and master‑level courses, primarily on the Lyon campus, with occasional sessions at other emlyon locations.
• Develop experiential, action‑based learning experiences linked to companies, startups, NGOs, public institutions, and international organisations.
• Contribute to institutional service, including program management, curriculum design, and external representation.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Geopolitics or a closely related discipline.
• Strong research record using qualitative or ethnographic methods, with potential for top‑journal publications.
• Ability to teach in both French and English across undergraduate, graduate, and master programmes.
• Commitment to linking research, teaching, and practice, and to pedagogical innovation.
