Full-time Faculty Position in Accounting – Teaching‑Oriented

About the role

emlyon business school seeks a full‑time Professor of Practice in Accounting to join its Department of Accounting and Corporate Finance starting September 2027. The role is teaching‑oriented, with no PhD requirement, and focuses on action‑based, experiential learning linked to real‑world business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and design accounting courses and, where appropriate, entire programmes.
• Develop and deliver innovative, project‑based learning experiences involving corporates, startups, NGOs, and other partners.
• Teach undergraduate (BBA), graduate (Programme Grande École), master’s and executive education programmes.
• Supervise theses and student projects, providing up to 150 hours of tutoring per year.
• Participate in institutional service such as curriculum design, committee work, and external representation.
• Optionally engage in research or affiliate with an emlyon research centre, depending on the candidate’s profile.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in project‑based, live‑case or learning‑by‑doing pedagogy.
• Strong connections with business or institutional partners.
• Ability to design engaging, applied learning courses and contribute to the school’s strategic positioning of action learning.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, international environment and adapt teaching to the school’s accounting curriculum.
