Freelance Quantum Research Scientist (Python)

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Quantum Research Scientist with strong Python skills to design and develop computational physics problems for AI testing and evaluation projects. This is a project‑based engagement, not a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational physics problems that reflect real research workflows in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
• Create problem statements that require Python solutions using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and SymPy.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Base problems on genuine research challenges or practical physics applications.
• Validate solutions with Python and standard physics simulation libraries, and provide clear documentation and verified answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in research, applied physics, or teaching.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).
• Creative thinking for problem design across diverse physics areas.
