Flight Control Testing Engineer – Toulouse

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Flight Control Testing Engineer to join the Flight and Integration Tests centre in Toulouse. The role focuses on ground‑based and flight‑test integration of flight control systems across all Airbus programmes, including research & technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, challenge and harmonise test orders in line with the overall test strategy.
• Define detailed test methods, simulation set‑ups, bench configurations and required tools for virtual, bench and aircraft ground tests.
• Develop measurement plans together with instrumentation specialists for flight tests.
• Write test procedures, test cases and ensure quality of external deliveries.
• Manage telemetry room operations for real‑time analysis and support during flight testing.
• Validate measurements, report issues in project tools and share results with the Design Office.
• Contribute to flight test programme development, experimental flight approval verification and continuous improvement of test means and processes.

Required profile

• Degree (minimum 5‑year) in Aeronautics or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in flight‑control or aerospace testing.
• Proactive, rigorous, curious and able to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication and synthesis abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of flight mechanics.
• Experience with testing systems and test‑bench instrumentation.
• Data‑analysis expertise.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and simulation tools.
