Financial Internal Controller – Energy Management

About the role

The Financial Internal Controller for Energy Management will join a small team of internal controllers within ENGIE's Supply & Energy Management business unit. Reporting to a senior internal controller, the role focuses on the second line of defence for finance processes, particularly the INCOME campaign, and provides backup for segregation of duties activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the second line of defence over finance processes and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) for commodity management and sales.
• Execute and monitor INCOME‑related control activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Act as backup for segregation of duties controls, ensuring proper risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with non‑finance stakeholders such as Ethics & Compliance, Procurement and IT to address fraud risk and control gaps.
• Implement group policies and best practices, including the rollout of automated controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal control or financial control functions.
• Strong knowledge of ICFR principles and the ability to apply them in a commodity‑focused environment.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and support risk‑management initiatives.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on compliance and operational optimisation.
