Financial Controller Senior Manager

About the role

The Senior Manager, Financial Controller will lead the Group Finance function for a large network of shipping agencies and subsidiaries. You will ensure the reliability, compliance and consistency of financial information across more than 300 entities, supporting the Group’s financial strategy and process optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise statutory month‑end close and consolidated reporting, guaranteeing deadlines and accuracy.
• Coordinate financial control across regional offices, train local finance teams and conduct on‑site internal‑control reviews.
• Lead analytical reviews, variance analysis and Forex balance monitoring, implementing necessary accounting adjustments.
• Strengthen internal‑control frameworks, manage periodic testing, risk mapping and compliance with regulations such as Sapin 2 and OFAC.
• Oversee statutory audits, including auditor selection, fee negotiation and audit‑report monitoring.
• Optimize intra‑group financing, monitor cash levels, organise fund repatriation and collaborate with Treasury, Legal and Tax on strategic projects.
• Facilitate cross‑functional projects, act as liaison between subsidiaries, regional offices and head‑office, and support continuous‑improvement initiatives such as Unified Reporting and Fast Close.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance or equivalent; Chartered Accountant/CPA highly valued.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably starting in a Big Four audit firm and then in an international group.
• Proven experience in a similar senior finance role within a large multinational (e.g., CAC 40 or SBF 120 company).
