Financial Controller – Plant (Douai)

About the role

Envision AESC is building a world‑class battery Gigafactory in Douai, France. The company seeks a senior Financial Controller to lead cost control and financial reporting for the new plant, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and the long‑term development of the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve purchase requests while proactively identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Execute monthly cost‑closing procedures independently and produce managerial reports comparing actuals to budget.
• Partner with operational teams, lead monthly cost‑review meetings, and propose reduction initiatives.
• Prepare operating expense budgets and forecasts in line with group guidelines and local management requirements.
• Coordinate with global cost‑controlling and FP&A teams for management reviews and ad‑hoc reporting.
• Analyze production processes to optimise cost‑related KPIs.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and related workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CMA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing expense or cost controlling, preferably in automotive or chemical sectors.
• Proven experience with SAP FICO and purchase‑order processes.
• Background in a multinational environment is strongly preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
