Finance Manager – French Accounting

About the role

Amazon’s French accounting team is seeking a Finance Manager to lead controllership for French and Belgian entities. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will ensure accurate reporting across retail, AWS, devices and other business lines while supporting rapid growth in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing for French and Belgian entities, guaranteeing compliance with local statutory requirements.
• Perform analytical reviews of balance sheets and income statements under French GAAP, Belgian GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS, delivering insights for business decisions.
• Prepare statutory accounts, support tax compliance initiatives and draft technical accounting memoranda.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to maintain efficient processes, strong controls and drive international standardisation.
• Identify automation opportunities, work with IT to enhance financial accounting systems and streamline reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Finance or French CPA qualification (DCG/DSCG).
• Several years of accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm and in a medium‑to‑large international company.
• Deep knowledge of French and Belgian GAAP, as well as US GAAP or IFRS, and related statutory and tax requirements.
• Proven ability to manage complex multi‑entity reporting in a fast‑paced environment.
