Finance Controller (Reporting to Plant Manager)

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the financial management strategy for a manufacturing site, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. This role oversees accounting, finance, and procurement functions, ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and French accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual Group reporting in line with US GAAP.
• Communicate financial results to Finance and Operations teams in the US and Europe.
• Collaborate with European Shared Services on forecasts, budgets, P&L, and balance‑sheet planning.
• Coordinate tax declarations and ensure compliance.
• Analyse inventory valuation, excess/obsolete reserves, and produce KPI dashboards for site management.
• Supervise customer payment follow‑ups, dispute resolution, and cash‑flow optimisation.
• Lead year‑end closing under French accounting standards and manage external statutory audits.
• Organise purchasing activities with the European Procurement Director and validate site commitments.
• Perform internal control testing (ASAT – FBP & IMEX) and follow up on remediation plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s to Master’s degree (Bac +4/5 equivalent).
• 5–10 years of experience in finance within an international, preferably industrial, environment.
• Fluent English and strong knowledge of French accounting standards and US GAAP.
• Proven team‑leadership and change‑management abilities.
