Field Clinical Specialist (m/f/d) - North East

About the role

Edwards Lifesciences' Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business unit partners with cardiologists and clinical teams on devices supported by clinical evidence. The Field Clinical Specialist applies professional expertise to support field clinical specialist activities and business outcomes, delivering clinical education and operational expertise through post-commercial training to clinical end-users. The role is based in the Nancy, Dijon, Metz or Strasbourg area and requires willingness to travel.

Key responsibilities

• Certify centres, physicians and related staff, as well as EW personnel, according to EW SOPs
• Interact with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and proctors
• Train physicians, hospital staff and hospital personnel on device handling, implantation and troubleshooting, and coordinate one-on-one and structured in-service education
• Provide follow-up support during commercial procedures to ensure continuity of education and technical support
• Develop and improve training curricula, materials and tools based on clinical trial experience, EW guidelines and SOPs
• Plan and implement growth strategies in focused accounts with Sales and Sales Management, and handle upselling in key strategic accounts with Business Managers
• Validate software and hardware updates in the field as applicable
• Review clinical support activities, market changes, assigned accounts and competitive activity with the NSM and the Sales Specialist

Required profile

• 3 years of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Training experience in a clinical or technical environment preferred
• Experience in interventional cardiology or a related area strongly preferred
• Preferred locations: Nancy, Dijon, Metz or Strasbourg area; willingness to travel

Required skills

• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite and general office machinery
• Good written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Moderate knowledge of cardiovascular science, anatomy, pathology and physiology
• Moderate understanding of medical device regulatory requirements, device accountability and adverse event reporting
• Ability to manage confidential information, competing priorities and to work in teams
