Fatigue & Static Stress Engineer – Ailerons & Spoilers

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Fatigue and Static Stress Engineer to join the Ailerons and Spoilers Design Office in Toulouse, France. The role focuses on the analysis, validation and support of wing‑moveable parts throughout their design, manufacturing and in‑service life for all Airbus civil programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and validate metallic components for fatigue and damage tolerance.
• Perform static analysis of composite and hybrid structures.
• Write and review stress dossiers, justification reports and test programmes.
• Define justification approaches and monitor progress with technical authorities and senior engineers.
• Support manufacturing by assessing non‑conformities and assist airlines with in‑service events.
• Collaborate closely with design engineers and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including experts, authorities and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Master degree in aerospace, mechanical or a related engineering discipline.
