Expert Quantum Physicist

About the role

As technical lead for numerical simulation of superconducting qubits, you will own how Alice & Bob predicts and validates device behavior before it reaches the lab. You will define the end‑to‑end simulation approach—from microwave design to qubit dynamics—and set the standards for trustworthy results.

Key responsibilities

• Own the predictive performance of the simulation stack end‑to‑end, ensuring accuracy, reliability and efficiency.
• Define and enforce standards for trustworthy simulations across microwave, quantum and numerical domains.
• Identify bottlenecks in performance, robustness or model fidelity and drive their resolution.
• Shape the roadmap for simulation tools in close collaboration with physicists and engineers.
• Validate simulation outcomes against experimental measurements and close the loop with the lab team.

Required profile

• 7+ years of post‑PhD experience in quantum physics, applied physics, electrical engineering or related fields.
• Proven technical leadership in simulation or modeling that directly influences device design.
• Deep expertise in superconducting qubit simulation, circuit QED and open quantum systems.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to mentor senior scientists.
