Ethics & Compliance Manager – Public Safety & Security

About the role

Airbus Public Safety and Security is seeking an Ethics & Compliance Manager to join its team in Elancourt, France. You will act as a key expert within the Ethics and Compliance organization, managing compliance risks and safeguarding the company’s reputation while supporting sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee complex due‑diligence processes for suppliers, consultants, partners and lobbyists, identifying and mitigating legal and reputational risks.
  • Analyze “red‑flags” related to sanctioned entities and ensure all interactions comply with international regulations and Airbus policies.
  • Mitigate money‑laundering and terrorist‑financing risks through high‑level due‑diligence on customers and strategic partners.
  • Contribute to internal Compliance Committees by preparing, presenting and defending complex compliance files.
  • Monitor third‑party intermediary payments to ensure strict adherence to the Airbus Code of Conduct.
  • Manage governance frameworks for Conflicts of Interest, Gifts & Hospitality, and Sponsorship requests.
  • Provide expert legal support on procurement compliance and negotiate Ethics & Compliance clauses in complex contracts.
  • Design and deliver training and awareness programmes to embed a strong compliance culture.

Required profile

  • Degree in Business Administration, Law or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Ethics, Compliance or Legal functions within a highly regulated or complex industrial environment.
  • Strong command of Ethics & Compliance principles, risk‑assessment methodologies and project‑management practices.
  • High degree of autonomy, ethical judgment and ability to act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and diplomatic communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory); French or German is a significant advantage.
  • Security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between Elancourt (France) and Ottobrunn (Germany).
