Engineering Quality Manager – Flight Control Systems

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Engineering Quality Manager for Flight Control System developments to ensure the highest quality level of engineering projects and to improve Design Right First Time across the aircraft life cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the quality partner for Flight Control and autoflight systems development teams, guiding risk‑management activities.
• Coach engineering teams to ensure full adherence to design processes and achieve engineering excellence.
• Conduct Process Assurance Reviews and serve as a quality panel member in Design Reviews, providing evidence of compliance to formalized specifications.
• Facilitate Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) sessions to anticipate and mitigate design risks.
• Lead Practical Problem Solving (PPS) initiatives and use digital tools and analytics to enhance quality methods.
• Promote and embed a strong quality mindset across all contributing engineering teams.

Required profile

• A proactive, curious and pragmatic professional with a strong interest in process, methods and digital transformation.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, comfortable facilitating exchanges with stakeholders.
• First‑hand experience or strong interest in embedded software development (SCADE, DO‑178/DO‑331) and systems engineering.
• Professional fluency in English.
