Energy Contract Manager

About the role

As part of Data4’s expansion of its data centre activities across Europe, the Energy Contract Manager will report to the Head of Energy Sourcing & Market Intelligence and support the company’s growth by managing energy supply contracts and hedging strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Establish long‑term relationships with key energy suppliers and conduct RFI/RFP processes.
• Negotiate and manage energy supply contracts, PPAs and complementary services such as balancing and demand‑management contracts.
• Support long‑term hedging strategy through PPA sign‑offs and advise on short‑term market positions.
• Monitor European energy markets, analyse forward markets and provide recommendations on positions.
• Collaborate with country directors, finance and operations teams to align supply and hedging strategies and consolidate energy costs for customer invoicing.

Required profile

• Graduate of a business or engineering school with at least 3 years of experience in energy sourcing across multiple countries.
• Proven experience signing at least one PPA and negotiating long‑form contracts, working with consultants and law firms.
• Fluent in French and professional English; additional language (German, Spanish, Italian) is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Fundamental and technical analysis skills to evaluate electricity markets.
