Electrical Engineer – Brain‑Computer Interface

About the role

Snap Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Brain‑Computer Interface team, developing wearable prototypes that integrate advanced sensor and analog front‑end technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for wearable prototypes from architecture through validation.
• Integrate sensors, analog front ends, power, clocks, communications, and embedded interfaces into compact platforms.
• Lead board bring‑up and debug using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Characterize signal quality, noise, interference, and power behavior in realistic wearable conditions.
• Build test plans and automated validation workflows for prototype hardware.
• Collaborate with firmware, algorithms, mechanical and industrial design partners to ensure reliable sensor data and robust packaging.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience taking hardware from schematic through bring‑up and iteration.
• Experience with analog/digital circuitry, power management, sensor integration, and embedded hardware interfaces.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate technical trade‑offs clearly.

Required skills

• Analog and digital circuit design, power delivery, signal integrity.
• EEG and biopotential signal acquisition, low‑noise analog front ends.
• PCB layout and schematic capture tools (Cadence Allegro, OrCAD Capture, Altium Designer).
• SPICE‑based circuit simulation.
• Laboratory equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies.
• Signal processing fundamentals: sampling, filtering, spectral analysis.
• Python for test automation and data analysis.
