DOA Manager – Design Office (f/m)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an experienced DOA Manager to join its Design Office in Marignane, France. You will be responsible for managing Design Organisation Approvals (DOA) and ensuring airworthiness compliance across the helicopter product line.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and maintain DOA approvals and associated privileges, including the creation and upkeep of design organisation manuals.
• Provide independent surveillance to guarantee continuous compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Resolve complex DOA queries to support certification milestones, aircraft deliveries, and fleet availability.
• Integrate design suppliers and partners into the design assurance system and manage authority signatories.
• Coordinate cross‑functional interfaces, support SMS and ISMS implementation, and represent Airbus in regulatory and standardisation activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in an aviation design organisation or aircraft certification.
• Strong knowledge of EASA Part 21J and other airworthiness regulations.
• Proven ability to lead international, cross‑functional projects and interact directly with Airworthiness Authorities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Advanced level of English (mandatory).
