Director Procurement Logistics

About the role

The Director of Procurement Logistics will shape and execute JD.com’s European logistics sourcing strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for building a cost-effective, high-quality supplier ecosystem covering warehousing, trucking and last-mile delivery across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise long-term procurement plans for European warehousing, trucking and last-mile courier services aligned with business growth objectives.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard top-tier logistics suppliers, integrating full-truck-load (FTL), less-than-truck-load (LTL), warehousing and last-mile capabilities.
• Lead complex negotiations on contracts, pricing, service level agreements and payment terms to achieve cost optimisation and service quality improvements.
• Establish a systematic supplier management framework, including performance evaluation, tiered management and incentive mechanisms.
• Monitor European logistics market trends, regulatory changes and risks, adjusting procurement strategies and proposing risk mitigation solutions.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, finance and other functions to coordinate procurement resources and ensure seamless end-to-end logistics supply chain performance.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in integrated logistics procurement within Europe, covering warehousing, trucking and last-mile services.
• Deep knowledge of the European contract logistics market and strong network of local suppliers.
• Proven track record of leading supplier negotiations and managing large-scale logistics contracts.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and regulatory developments.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities.
