Director of Scientific Partnerships

About the role

The Director of Scientific Partnerships will lead the strategy, application, and execution of major European and international research consortia and public‑private partnerships. The role focuses on European grant programmes while also exploring international funding to expand the company’s Virtual Tissue platform across drug discovery, bioproduction, and foodtech.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Grants Pipeline: Identify, assess and prioritize high‑value EU and international funding opportunities.
• Consortium Building & Proposal Defense: Design, negotiate and lead multi‑stakeholder consortia and write competitive grant proposals.
• Partnership Leadership: Oversee operational, financial and administrative management of funded projects, ensuring scientific deliverables and budget compliance.
• Bridge between Science & Ecosystem: Act as the strategic link between internal AI/biology teams and external collaborators, funding bodies and project officers.
• Global Ecosystem Representation: Represent the company at innovation hubs, matchmaking events and scientific symposia.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s in Biological Sciences, Computational Biology, Biotechnology or a related DeepTech discipline.
• 4+ years of experience securing and managing complex European grants (Horizon Europe, EIC, IHI, Eurostars) and public‑private partnerships.
• Proven ability to build and lead multi‑stakeholder consortia and negotiate with academic, industrial and C‑level partners.
• International grant experience (e.g., US NIH, DARPA, Asian biomedical programmes) is a strong advantage.
• Deep understanding of drug discovery, AI for health or omics technologies.
• Fluency in English (French a plus) and excellent negotiation and communication skills.
