DevOps Engineer – Automation & Cloud

About the role

ALTEN is seeking a DevOps Engineer to strengthen its engineering and IT consulting services. You will focus on automating development and deployment pipelines, improving system reliability, and supporting cloud‑based infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise tools and processes that support infrastructure and application deployment.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages and DevOps platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, system engineers, project managers and DBAs to streamline releases.
• Manage incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Participate in capacity planning, change management, incident/problem resolution and continuous performance improvement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional experience as a DevOps Engineer is highly valued.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
• Strong passion for emerging technologies and proactive problem‑solving attitude.

Required skills

• Linux operating systems
• Docker and Kubernetes (OpenShift a plus)
• Bash and Python scripting (Go a plus)
• CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools like Terraform
• Monitoring with Grafana and Prometheus
• SQL and NoSQL database knowledge
• Experience with major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
