Database Administrator – Infrastructure Technologies

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Database Administrator to join the Infrastructure Technologies department at its Marignane site. The role supports the design, operation and optimisation of critical database platforms that power helicopter manufacturing and related applications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise production, development and test environments for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and other database technologies.
• Collaborate with system architects to ensure database layers meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including backups, restores, statistics updates and capacity planning.
• Provide support to the database product manager and act as a backup resource.
• Maintain databases for critical Airbus Helicopters applications such as the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience managing Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL databases.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and analysis.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work autonomously and in international teams.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
