Data Protection Officer – GDPR, Audit & Cybersecurity (English/French)

About the role

Join an innovative fintech bank in Paris as a Data Protection Officer. You will lead GDPR compliance, conduct security audits, and act as the main liaison with European data protection authorities while supporting a multilingual workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Implement a privacy governance framework and develop GDPR‑compliant templates, data‑mapping tools, and vendor‑management reviews.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and data‑privacy audits across business units.
• Serve as the primary contact for European Data Protection Authorities and internal queries.
• Review vendor contracts, including Model Clauses, and ensure regulatory filing requirements are met.
• Monitor changes to local privacy laws and advise the Data Privacy/Information Governance Committee.
• Design and deliver privacy training for staff and collaborate with Information Security to raise awareness.

Required profile

• Graduate level education with at least two years of data‑protection experience.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and experience handling cyber‑security incidents.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with legal, compliance, and IT teams.
