Cybersecurity & GRC Internship – July 2025

About the role

Join Malt’s Security team for a hands‑on internship that goes beyond writing policies. You will work directly with the Head of Security, gaining exposure to governance, risk, compliance, application security, fraud analysis, and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Support the ISO 27001:2022 certification effort by coordinating evidence collection, drafting missing policies, and tracking remediation across Engineering, HR, and Legal.
• Maintain the information‑security risk register, monitor risk treatments, and flag deviations to the Head of Security.
• Handle client security questionnaires and due‑diligence requests, building a reusable response library.
• Participate in security‑operations activities such as vulnerability tracking, security reviews, and incident‑response support.
• Assist fraud‑analysis efforts by investigating suspicious patterns and supporting detection‑response workflows.

Required profile

• Final‑year Master’s student in cybersecurity or information systems.
• Basic knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 and a strong interest in GRC.
• Hands‑on mindset, curiosity across security domains, and analytical ability.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with technical teams.
• Fluent in English.
