Cybersecurity & GRC Internship (August 2026)

About the role

Join Malt’s Security team as a Cybersecurity & GRC Intern. You will work directly with the Head of Security, gaining hands‑on experience across governance, risk, compliance, application security, fraud analysis, and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Support the ISO 27001:2022 certification effort by coordinating evidence collection, drafting policies, and tracking remediation across Engineering, HR, and Legal.
• Maintain the information security risk register, monitor risk treatments, and flag deviations to the Head of Security.
• Handle client security questionnaires and due‑diligence requests independently, building a reusable response library.
• Participate in security operations, including vulnerability tracking, security reviews, and incident‑response support.
• Assist fraud‑analysis activities by investigating suspicious patterns and supporting detection and response workflows.

Required profile

• Final‑year Master’s student in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 and a strong interest in GRC.
• Hands‑on, proactive mindset with curiosity across fraud, application security, risk management, and compliance.
• Analytical ability to work with data and identify patterns.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging technical teams.
• Fluent in English.
