Cost Architect Governmental Offers (M/F)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Cost Architect for Governmental Offers to join its Finance Department at the Marignane site, near Marseille and Aix-en-Provence. The Cost Architect department provides cost inputs to complex customer offers and sets reliable cost references for helicopter platforms and spare parts processes. The role focuses on Governmental Programs.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for Program and Business on costing quotations.
• Keep a close link between customer needs and the costing support provided.
• Lead and manage the costing activity during the offer process, on quality and on time, providing robust and neutral cost information (estimates, cost drivers, etc.) to support business decisions.
• Prepare the cost basis for sales items: reconcile configuration, technical and operational inputs to consolidate costs.
• Prepare, challenge and summarise the assumptions behind cost information.
• Compile, deliver and explain costing estimates to stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge management on cost evolution and customer cost requests.
• Support internal customers in setting cost targets and negotiating buy-ins with stakeholders.
• Support the harmonisation and rationalisation of costing methods, tools and processes.

Required profile

• Degree or ample experience in Business, Design Office, Procurement, Industry or Support matters.
• Familiarity with aeronautical data structures and sources in Design, Configuration and Production.
• Interest in the financial side of things.
• Autonomous, enjoys teamwork, good communication skills.
• Advanced English; French is mandatory.
