Consultant – 2026 CAP Activities Support for ECA Network

About the role

UNEP is seeking a consultant to support the 2026 Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) activities for the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) network. The role will be home‑based and will focus on project management, capacity‑building sessions and programme support to help countries meet Montreal Protocol obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and facilitate up to three online capacity‑building sessions for the ECA network, including agenda setting, speaker liaison and material preparation.
• Prepare background documents, presentations and provide technical comments for the Regional Network Meeting scheduled for October 2026.
• Design and implement a questionnaire to capture the ECA network’s needs and priorities, covering both physical and virtual support requirements.
• Support overall CAP project management, ensuring timely delivery of reports, proposals and financial documentation as required by the Executive Committee.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in environmental programmes, project management or capacity‑building initiatives.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Senior Programme Management Officer and the Head of the OzonAction branch.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
