Configuration and Data Management Officer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is building a brand‑new team for an upcoming military program in the Military Derivatives department. The Configuration and Data Management Officer will lead the deployment of configuration and data management methods, tools and processes for this strategic project.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the rollout of PLM/PDM tools and data‑management solutions required for the new derivative project.
• Act as Configuration Manager, overseeing configuration processes, resource coordination and serving as the site focal point.
• Provide daily support for data loading, migration, cleansing, validation and database maintenance.
• Generate KPI and status reports, and represent configuration and data management functions in program milestone reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Aeronautics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in configuration and data management within an industrial environment.
• Fluent in English and French; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills in an international setting.

Required skills

• Experience with modern PLM/PDM systems.
• Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Confluence, Jira and SharePoint.
• Ability to analyse, implement and improve data‑management and configuration processes.
• Capability to coordinate internal teams and external subcontractors.
