Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer – Flight Physics

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer to join the Engineering Flight Physics Capability team in Toulouse. You will develop and deliver advanced CFD simulation tools and services that support aircraft aerodynamic design.

Key responsibilities

• Industrialise and validate next‑generation in‑house CFD capabilities.
• Provide end‑to‑end technical support for ANSA meshing, CODA CFD runs and post‑processing to transnational users.
• Develop complex aerodynamic, aero‑elastic and aero‑acoustic simulation applications for shape‑design customers.
• Collaborate with R&D partners, external research institutes and a transnational team across Europe and India.
• Supervise PhD students and benchmark or prototype CFD tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in CFD for aerodynamics, including transonic and propeller flows.
• Proficiency in object‑oriented programming with Python or C++.
• Hands‑on experience with the CODA CFD chain and ANSA meshing.
• Ability to conduct RANS, URANS and LES studies from geometry preparation to post‑processing.
