Commercial Legal Counsel – EMEA

About the role

Mistral is seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to join its Paris‑based legal team. The role focuses on drafting, negotiating, and adapting contracts related to AI services and products across the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and provide strategic advice on a wide range of commercial contracts, including AI‑related service agreements.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers, partners, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor AI‑related legal and regulatory developments and translate them into contract adaptations.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure legal compliance in AI deployments.
• Deliver training and support on legal and compliance matters related to AI.
• Assist on additional legal topics such as labor, corporate, and competition law as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law; bar admission is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in technology or AI environments.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and their applications.
• Knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property, contract law, liability, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
