Cloud & Storage Architect

About the role

Avaliance, a firm in full growth, is recruiting a Cloud and Storage Architect in Paris (17th arrondissement) for hybrid work, on a permanent or independent basis. You will work on digital transformation projects for multi-sector clients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in Cloud, Data, Cyber and Consulting.

Key responsibilities

• Define high-level and low-level designs for Azure, AWS and private cloud VMware, integrated with NetApp solutions (Azure NetApp Files, FSx for NetApp ONTAP, Cloud Volumes ONTAP, on-premise ONTAP)
• Model patterns for NAS (NFS/SMB), backup and archiving, and multi-region/disaster recovery
• Size capacity and performance (IOPS, latency, throughput) and define RPO/RTO, SLA/SLO
• Design observability, capacity planning and QoS using Active IQ Unified Manager and NetApp DII
• Manage costs through tiering (FabricPool to Blob/S3), storage classes and reservations/commitments

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years of experience in storage architecture, including at least 3 years on NetApp ONTAP (cloud and on-premise)
• Proficiency in at least two environments among Azure, AWS, VMware and hybrid patterns
• Strong foundations in security (encryption, IAM, managed keys, hardening) and networking (NFS/SMB/iSCSI)

Required skills

• Advanced experience in migrations (SnapMirror, XCP) and resilience (DRP, failover testing)
• Scripting and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and operations automation
