Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – France

About the role

Royal Canin France is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the French Leadership Team. Reporting to the General Manager, the CFO will drive the financial agenda, ensure robust financial health and lead transformational change to support sustainable growth in a volatile market.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑pilot the unit’s financial and value‑creation strategy alongside the General Manager.
• Develop and monitor business strategies, structural cost management and resource allocation to meet financial targets.
• Lead financial system implementations, including ERP and Copilot frameworks, and oversee operational transformations.
• Analyse profitability, cost of employment, supply‑chain efficiency and margin improvement projects.
• Influence commercial and regional leaders to align decisions with financial objectives.
• Navigate ambiguity, prioritize investments and manage relationships with French work councils during organisational change.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of finance leadership experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Proven track record in change management, analytical projects and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience working with French work councils on organisational transformation.
