Chemistry QA Lead (Remote)

About the role

In this hourly, remote contractor position you will lead Chemistry Quality Assurance for AI training projects. You will ensure that chemistry content generated by AI and reviewed by trainers meets rigorous scientific and safety standards, providing clear feedback and maintaining documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated chemistry content and trainer work against detailed rubrics.
• Assess scientific accuracy, calculation correctness, reaction logic, unit consistency, safety, clarity and formatting.
• Provide precise written feedback to contributors and QA team members.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QAs.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain quality documentation.
• Monitor contributor performance and help reactivate inconsistent workers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, Biochemistry, Materials or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in chemistry research, laboratory work, teaching, scientific writing, technical review or quality control.
• Strong command of English for written feedback and communication.
• Deep understanding of core chemistry topics (general, organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, biochemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, spectroscopy, reaction mechanisms).
