Chargé(e) de mission – Mise en réseau des plateformes SMCC

About the role

The position is based at the AgroParisTech campus in Nancy within the Forest, Tree, Natural Environments research unit. It focuses on a feasibility study for creating and nationally networking Irregular Forest Schools (FIE) and analysing their transformative impact on territories. The role is part of the PEPR FOREST HUB project, specifically work package WP4 T4.2.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies for the establishment and networking of existing and future Irregular Forest Schools across France.
• Analyse the transformative effects of these schools on learning communities and territorial dynamics.
• Coordinate with partner organisations such as ONF, CNPF, Pro Silva France and regional stakeholders.
• Develop shared action plans with informal local partner networks.
• Document and report findings to the SILVA joint research unit and project partners.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in forestry, environmental science, agronomy or a related field.
• Experience in project coordination, feasibility studies, or network development.
• Strong understanding of mixed-species continuous cover forestry (SMCC) concepts.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including public agencies and professional associations.
• Fluent in French; English proficiency is a plus.
