Cabin System Retrofit Solution Engineer

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Cabin System Retrofit Solution Engineer to join the Cabin Retrofit Solution Department in Toulouse. The role focuses on developing and validating engineering modifications and upgrades for commercial aircraft after delivery, ensuring timely and quality delivery of service bulletins and kits.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse technical offers for optional customer modifications and propose engineering solutions.
• Manage French‑side cabin conversion activities, including scope definition, detailed planning and delivery of engineering drawings, component lists and service bulletins.
• Coordinate project deliverables, identify long‑lead items, and maintain up‑to‑date schedules.
• Support certification activities by providing required regulatory references and compliance means.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance during retrofit implementation and handle business travel as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s or engineering degree in aeronautical, mechanical or electrical systems.
• 3‑5 years of experience in mechanical/electrical aircraft system installation or structure.
• Background in aircraft design, preferably on retrofit solutions for legacy programmes (e.g., A320/A330 families).
• Strong project‑management capabilities and good communication skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
