Business Controller – France

About the role

Kalmar is looking for a Business Controller for its French unit. You will act as a strategic financial partner, ensuring accurate reporting, robust budgeting and forecasting, and supporting decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end closing process in close collaboration with the Record‑to‑Report Accountant.
• Partner with the Country Financial Manager to prepare for annual audits and address compliance matters.
• Work with the Sales Director to develop order and sales forecasts and drive the annual budgeting process.
• Maintain and update overhead cost forecasts, identify financial risks and propose improvement opportunities.
• Serve as the local liaison for centralized Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring smooth workflows.
• Provide timely financial analysis and answers to queries from various corporate divisions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with sales, operations and shared service teams.
• Experience in financial controlling, budgeting and forecasting, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Good understanding of French market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
