Avionics Computer Safety Architect – Toulouse

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Avionics Computer Safety Architect to join its Avionics Products Development team in Toulouse, France. You will contribute to the design, development, and safety assurance of both new and legacy avionic computers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new avionic computers based on the Avionics product line or define new standards for legacy computers.
• Assess safety and reliability characteristics of computers, involving hardware, software, and quality experts.
• Contribute to the definition of the safest computer architecture in collaboration with product, hardware, and software architects.
• Monitor product maturity with a safety focus, analyse V&V anomalies, prioritize corrective actions and support industrialisation.
• Perform safety analysis and provide demonstrable evidence for certification.

Required profile

• Strong background in avionic computer safety, reliability and certification processes.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams covering hardware, software and quality.
• Ability to drive safety‑focused product maturity and anomaly resolution.

Required skills

• Safety analysis techniques for avionic systems.
• Reliability assessment methods.
• Understanding of hardware and software architecture in avionics.
