Avionic Manager & Committee Chairman (Engineering)

About the role

NHIndustries is seeking an experienced Avionic Manager who will also chair the Avionics Committee. The role is responsible for ensuring a coherent avionics architecture across the NH90 program, leading end‑to‑end development, qualification and certification activities for new variants and fleet upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Chair the Avionics Committee, providing technical leadership and arbitration across all avionics domains.
• Validate avionics design choices against contractual, safety, planning and maintainability requirements.
• Maintain a global view of all ongoing avionic development activities and manage dependencies between partners and contracts.
• Act as project manager for the full development, qualification/certification and implementation process for new helicopter variants or fleet upgrades.
• Manage qualification and certification activities, coordinating with customers, authorities and partner companies.
• Define and control development activities, interfaces and change impacts during offer and contract execution.
• Lead or participate in technical reviews and milestone gates such as PDR, CDR and ERM.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Aircraft Chief Engineer or programme governance.
• Report status, critical path, risks and KPI dashboards to Chief Engineering, Programme and Directoire.
• Close contractual non‑compliances and support final programme closure.

Required profile

• Senior technical background, preferably in avionics systems.
• Strong experience in project management and customer relations.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Experience with qualification and certification processes in aerospace.
