Auxiliaire de vie – part‑time home care assistant

About the role

Destia is looking for compassionate home‑care assistants to support elderly, disabled or vulnerable individuals in the Arras area. You will help clients maintain independence and dignity while staying safely in their own homes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility (including using a patient lift).
• Prepare meals or accompany clients during meals.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Run errands, shop for groceries, and accompany clients to appointments.
• Engage clients in social activities, outings, and games to build trust.
• Provide emotional and moral support.
• Report ideas, difficulties or suggestions to the agency to improve care.

Required profile

• Empathy, patience and kindness.
• Strong sense of responsibility and adaptability.
• Ability to work autonomously and organize tasks rigorously.
• Willingness to learn and follow internal training.

Required skills

• Operation of a patient lift.
