Audit Innovation & Product Specialist

About the role

Forvis Mazars is looking for an Audit Innovation & Product Specialist to take part in the functional design and product ownership of future evolutions of its financial audit software solution. The role combines audit expertise, knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and functional design capabilities, and takes ownership of designated product evolutions from business needs and functional specifications through delivery and production rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Own the functional design of assigned product evolutions and act as Product Owner for these scopes
• Translate business, audit and regulatory requirements into clear, structured functional solutions
• Lead functional workshops with Business, Audit Methodology, Compliance and Quality stakeholders at group and local level
• Define, document and maintain functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and detailed design documents
• Manage change requests, prioritise functional scopes and ensure audit compliance and usability
• Work with development teams during builds and with QA teams on functional testing and UAT
• Approve readiness for production, support deployment and act as functional reference and subject-matter expert

Required profile

• Senior-level experience as Functional Designer, Business Analyst, Product Owner or similar
• Strong background in financial audit, audit methodology or audit software
• Experience in large international organisations, ideally in Big 4 firms
• Ability to turn complex business processes into functional specifications and to work end-to-end with software teams
• Fluent English; professional French is a plus
• Preferred: qualified auditor (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) and Agile experience (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
