Associate Professor in Cybersecurity

About the role

IMT Atlantique seeks an Associate Professor to join the SRCD department on its Rennes campus. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research and technology transfer in cybersecurity, focusing on AI-driven threats and operational technology security.

Key responsibilities

• Teach courses on AI and Cybersecurity, Industrial System Security, and related topics.
• Lead and organize the Hack’lantique Capture The Flag competition.
• Participate in and lead research projects within the SOTERN team at the IRISA laboratory.
• Supervise PhD students, post‑doctoral researchers and project‑based internships.
• Contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong background in network security, covering architectures, protocols and AI security.
• Expertise in either AI‑based security methods (e.g., federated learning, Model Context Protocol) or operational technology network security.
