Area Record-to-Report (R2R) Controller

About the role

The Europe Financial Controlling Uplift project at KONE seeks an Area R2R Controller to support a Europe‑wide transformation of finance operations. Reporting to the Area R2R CoE Lead, you will work with finance teams across multiple countries to ensure high‑quality, harmonised accounting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file statutory financial statements on time, complying with local regulations.
• Collaborate with finance teams and external partners on statutory compliance and reporting.
• Align local GAAP with IFRS, analysing differences and providing guidance.
• Support and coordinate statutory and group external audits.
• Strengthen balance‑sheet reconciliation and internal‑control execution.
• Drive adherence to the internal‑controls framework and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Partner with shared services to resolve R2R process issues and improve consistency.
• Act as a trusted contact point for finance teams and contribute to governance forums.

Required profile

• In‑depth experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with other GAAP frameworks.
• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence change.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with hands‑on approach.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
