Application Support Specialist

About the role

The Application Support Specialist will provide technical and functional expertise for business applications used by French‑based end users. You will work closely with international teams, ensuring smooth operation, continuous improvement, and timely resolution of incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire deep technical and functional knowledge of assigned applications.
• Support French end‑users by resolving tickets and issues.
• Enhance business applications as required.
• Collaborate with India‑based teams using business English.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications for performance and scalability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
• Prepare technical documentation and propose continuous improvements.
• Coordinate with French‑speaking stakeholders and participate in status reports and meetings.
• Work flexible European CET hours (9 AM‑6 PM) and assist during major outages or critical incidents after hours.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven SQL experience (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Full‑stack development experience in Java (minimum 3 years) is a strong advantage.
• Exposure to Angular UI development.
• At least 2 years of AWS experience for hosting web applications and using AWS services.
• Fluent communication skills in both French and English.
• Strong customer focus and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to learn and apply new tools, processes, and technologies quickly.
