Analytical Development Technician (F/H)

About the role

Seppic, an Air Liquide Healthcare company, is looking for an analytical development technician in Castres. You will join a team of scientific experts and design and optimise high-performance analytical methods that support innovation, beyond the laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Design, adapt and validate high-precision measurement protocols (gas and liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, optical spectroscopy) for complex gas and liquid matrices.
• Carry out trace analysis to ensure rigorous quality control of key molecules.
• Provide technical expertise and responsive analytical support to research teams.
• Qualify, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments to the highest safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (or physical measurements).
• Several years of experience in analytical chemistry.
• Rigorous, curious and analytical, enjoys cross-disciplinary teamwork and innovative problem solving.
• Good command of computer tools, especially Google tools, and basic English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HPLC/UPLC (UV-RI-CAD-DEDL) and SEC/GPC, and of gas chromatography (GC-FID, HS-GC-FID)
• LC-MS and GC-MS are a plus
• Nice to know: UV, IR-FT, DSC, ICP-OES, potentiometry and physicochemical analyses
