Analytical Development Engineer (ICP-MS, Ion Chromatography)

About the role

Air Liquide France Industrie, which produces and markets industrial gases in France through four business lines (Large Industry, Industrial Merchant, Electronics and Hydrogen), is looking for a Process Engineer Analytics (m/f) for its laboratory after an internal mobility. The role plays a central part in the analytical excellence of the Electronics business, a fast-growing sector, and is based at the Chalon-sur-Saône site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic analytical developments and the qualification of new molecules, ensuring product reliability
• Lead developments in ICP-MS and Ion Chromatography for organosilicate and organometallic molecules
• Train teams on advanced analytical techniques and provide expertise in ICP-MS and Ion Chromatography
• Manage the qualification of new molecule suppliers and define qualification protocols with the Quality department
• Act as the analytical and technical contact with Air Liquide's international laboratories (notably Fremont and Dallas) for correlation studies
• Contribute to continuous improvement, especially on safety, and manage cross-functionally

Required profile

• Master's degree or engineering degree in analytical chemistry
• At least 2 years of professional experience
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom
• Critical thinking, rigor, meticulousness and perseverance
• Ability to collaborate with laboratories abroad

• Proficiency in ICP-MS and Ion Chromatography techniques
• Analytical chemistry
