About the role

The Avionics Technician on the Final Assembly Line (FAL) is responsible for installing, integrating, testing and verifying aircraft electrical and avionics systems during the last stage of production. The role ensures that all avionics, communication, navigation, surveillance and mission equipment meet engineering specifications, regulatory standards and production schedules.

Key responsibilities

  • Install and integrate avionics, wiring harnesses, communication, navigation, flight‑deck and sensor systems on the final assembly line.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and technical manuals to execute installations.
  • Perform continuity checks, functional testing, system verification and troubleshooting of installed equipment.
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve installation discrepancies in collaboration with engineering and quality teams.
  • Document work orders, inspection results and corrective actions in accordance with aerospace standards.

Required profile

  • Proven experience with aircraft avionics and electrical systems in a production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills for diagnosing system issues on the assembly line.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards for bonding, grounding and connector installation.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with effective communication with engineering, quality and production staff.

Required skills

  • Use of avionics test equipment and diagnostic software to verify system performance.
  • Electrical wiring and harness installation, routing, termination and connector fitting.
  • Schematic and wiring diagram interpretation.
  • Compliance with aerospace standards for bonding and grounding.
  • Application of troubleshooting techniques for avionics and electrical systems.
