Accounting & Tax Manager

About the role

The Accounting & Tax Manager will lead a team of accounting professionals, ensuring high‑quality delivery of client work across the portfolio. Reporting to the Head of the Accounting Department, you will be responsible for both operational excellence and strategic client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coach, evaluate and motivate team members; recruit and train staff in line with company policies.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual accounts, tax returns and financial reports in accordance with French GAAP or IFRS.
• Maintain and develop client relationships, handle complaints and act as escalation point for service delivery issues.
• Ensure smooth departmental administration, including leave management, invoicing, collections and cross‑team collaboration.
• Build and maintain a robust compliance and governance framework, adhering to relevant regulations.
• Contribute to business development and provide recommendations for process optimisation.

Required profile

• Holder of the Expert‑Comptable licence.
• Fluent English (C1 level) and strong written communication skills.
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• Expertise in French GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
• Tax return preparation and filing.
• Financial statement preparation and analysis.
